If you’re not familiar with the show, it involves host Amelia Dimoldenberg treating a special celebrity guest to a delicious chicken meal as she asks them a variety of questions during their “date”. In the 8 years since it started, Amelia has welcomed some really big names to the show, and has gained a whopping 1.5 million subscribers.  

Amelia and Chicken Shop Date first visited Chicken Cottage back in 2008, when she met with famous grime MC Ghetts. Don’t worry if you haven’t heard of him: he’s a big deal with all your potential customers!

The show’s short format and casual style fits perfectly with modern internet trends and attracts a really varied audience, but especially teenagers, partygoers, trendsetters, and other influencers – all a big part of Chicken Cottage’s key demographic. It may or may not be your kind of thing, but there’s no denying it gets A LOT of views. More than 1 million watched the first Chicken Cottage date.

Amelia returned for a second run in August 2022 for a date with US Actress, Singer and TV Personality Keke Palmer - below. 

It was very clear in this episode that Chicken Date Shop was really growing into something special with a staggering 1.7 million viewers tuning in. 

The whole show is funny and spontaneous, and it’s not meant to advertise the location they’re visiting as such, but if you watch the videos, you’ll notice there are plenty of shots of the food, and of the guests tucking in. Plenty of people in the comments talk about how watching it makes them want to eat chicken! It’s the kind of third-party publicity which is gold dust to any business owner.
