UBX Franchisees Ben and Neil have opened their second UBX location in Alderley, Cheshire, just 10 months after they launched their first UBX gym in Media City, Salford, in April 2023. 

Ben and Neil are co-owners at Whitworth Leisure and opened the very first UBX gym in the UK in Media City last year. Neil also opened his own UBX gym in Sheffield alongside his wife Kirsty in June 2023. 

On Tuesday 16th January, Ben cut the ribbon to officially declare the brand-new UBX Alderley gym open at the official launch party. The UBX Alderley team hosted a great launch event, with busy demonstration classes, a live DJ and new members signing up throughout the day. Members of the UBX UK HQ team also attended to support the launch.

Speaking at the gyms launch party, Ben commented:

“To be open in the second location so soon after Media City feels incredible. It's one of those things where we didn't think that we'd get to that stage so soon, but things moved so fast at Media City, so now we're here it's unbelievable, and to introduce UBX to a new crowd as well, we couldn't ask for more.

The launch has gone fantastically. We've hit 80 members before we’ve opened the doors, which is fantastic. The reception from the crowd is immense as well. It's a new workout for people round here in particular because there's nothing like it in the area.

Everything has come so far, in terms of the club, the build and where we are now, it's just been perfect.”

UBX Alderley is the 5th UBX franchised gym to open in the UK and Ireland following the openings of Media City (Salford), Stepaside (Dublin), Sheffield and Bath.
