Yorkshire care provider selected to work with Care Homes in Hull

08 July 2013

Caremark (East Riding) has been selected by the Hull City Council to provide temporary care staff or support staff to residential homes operated by the local authority.  The Yorkshire home care provider was one of only two companies chosen by the local authority.

This new project will see the rapidly expanding home care company create more new jobs in the Hull area, bringing further employment opportunities.

The company is currently recruiting staff in readiness for the expected need of trained staff to cover general staff shortages, staff holidays, sickness and maternity leave across the 100 council-run care homes in the city.

Graham Precious, MD of Caremark (East Riding) commented “We are delighted to be selected by Hull City Council to provide temporary care staff to residential homes in the city.  We will be able to supply staff at short notice, day or night, to cover just a few hours or for much longer periods.  The staff we supply will already have been through the necessary checks to allow them to work in care and will have previous experience of working in a care home setting”.

The company has seen phenomenal growth over the last 18 months and is now delivering in  excess of 4,000 hours of care each week across Hull and the East Riding.  Mr. Precious continued “Despite operating in touch economic conditions we have been able to rapidly grow our business and this new contract will enable us to grow further”.

This increasing demand for care services comes as more people are now able to remain living independently at home, supported by care budgets which they are able to spend as they see fit,  in order to meet their individual needs.
