It’s a Dog’s Life for Our New Barking Mad Business Owners

10 August 2017

At Barking Mad, we love working with our franchise network of amazing local business owners! Our dog sitting entrepreneurs come from a wide range of professional backgrounds but share an all consuming love of dogs.

Their working days are spent bringing happy holidays to dogs and dog owners alike, coordinating customers and hosts whilst working to foster real community spirit, as they provide a professional dog home boarding service in their local areas.

We are delighted to announce that we have recently welcomed several new members to the Barking Mad family and would ask you to join us in saying a big hello to:

Amy Punshon, Chloe Richards and Shannon Beattie. The three new joint owners of Barking Mad Edinburgh met whilst working in a local veterinary practice and are huge animal lovers, having owned pretty much every kind of pet you can think of between them. They jumped at the chance of taking over the already established Edinburgh franchise after searching for an opportunity which would allow them to continue working with pets and their owners but also to build their own business.

Lin Simpson is proud to launch her new dog sitting service, Barking Mad Rugby

Lin is proud to launch her brand new business, Barking Mad Rugby, bringing 5* rated dog care to her local area. She has a real passion for the countryside, horses and dogs and is the proud owner of Molly May, her beloved Border Terrier. Molly May has an allergy to gluten, a condition which really emphasises the importance of being able to rely on your dog’s carers to manage and replicate their diet and routine. It was our attention to detail and quality of service which inspired Lin to join us!

Brand new Barking Mad business owner, Jo Adams, launches Barking Mad Newport dog sitting service

Joanne is the delighted owner of the newly established Barking Mad Newport dog sitting franchise in South Wales. She lives with husband Tim, children Amelia and Isabelle and five year old Miniature Labradoodle Molly Dog. Joanne is a previous customer of Barking Mad and so has first hand knowledge of the peace of mind and reassurance that using our service brings, enabling you to relax and enjoy your own holiday.

Graham and Lynne are proud new owners of Barking Mad East Lancs, Skipton and Craven

Graham and Lynne are life long animal lovers who have owned numerous pets and also first experienced the Barking Mad service from a customer perspective. Their dog, Ellie, is of a very nervous disposition and seeing how she excitedly runs to the Barking Mad car to go on her dog holidays, convinced them that this was a fantastic business to become involved with. They are now the proud new owners of Barking Mad East Lancs, Skipton and Craven and are loving their new lifestyle, working hard to grow their business.

Caroline Temple is our new Barking Mad dog sitting business owner in Reading

Caroline joins us as the brand new owner of Barking Mad Reading after experiencing our dog holiday service as a member of our Host Community. As an accountant by profession, animal loving Caroline was unable to own a dog at that point in her life due to long working hours and found looking after Barking Mad ‘holiday dogs’ to be an ideal solution. She was so delighted by the experience it eventually led to her realising what a great opportunity it would be to buy her local franchise, when it came up for sale.

Our new dog business owners have all completed their initial training at our head office in the Lake District and are now enjoying indulging their love of man’s best friend, whilst bringing our multi-award winning home dog boarding service to their local areas with drive and ambition.

We believe that life’s too short to stay in a job you don’t love! If you would like to find out more about our home based, dog sitting business opportunity, we’d love to chat to you about a Barking Mad career
