Home Instead is No. 1 for elderly care

16 October 2014

With the challenges of finding quality care for elderly loved ones recently being highlighted in the media, Home Instead Senior Care is delighted to announce that we have, once again, been revealed as England’s top homecare provider for the elderly.

The data comes from league tables published by the UK’s leading healthcare information specialist, LaingBuisson in their Care Compliance Monitor which includes headline data from Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection reports and presents a digested view of providers’ performance.

The resulting league table shows the percentage of inspected branches which are fully compliant with CQC’s core standards covering care, safeguarding, staffing, management and respect for service users. Home Instead’s score was 97.9 per cent.

Commenting, Home Instead Senior Care CEO Trevor Brocklebank said:

“CQC have recently announced a new ‘mum test’ inspection policy that their inspectors will start to apply. It’s basically asking the question, would I let this provider look after my mum?”

“I fully support this thinking as it is one of the ways that CQC can check if the care being provided is safe, caring, effective, responsive and well-led.”

“We would urge any family looking for care to do their homework, ask around locally, speak to friends and do everything they can to assess all the options. This should include looking at CQC inspection reports for their local providers.”

Home Instead Senior Care is a management franchise and no care experience is needed as full training is provided. With territories available across the UK, it is a fantastic opportunity for people interested in running their own successful business, while also making a difference in their local community at the same time.
