CQC Registration for 4 new SureCare branches

There’s cause for celebration at SureCare this month, as we’re proud to announce that four of our most recent franchisees have officially gained full registration with the Care Quality Commission.

The new branches – covering territory in Bromley, Hertfordshire, Richmond & Kingston and Wycombe & Chiltern – have now completed this final stage in their setup, allowing them to deliver a range of regulated care services to residents in their respective areas.

Today we’ll discover exactly what that CQC registration means for our latest branches, and take a look at how they’ll be providing that crucial support in their local communities.

CQC checks

Over the coming weeks and months, each of our new branches will face routine check-ups from CQC inspectors. This will confirm that the level of service our local teams can provide is of Good or Outstanding quality – vital when working with the more vulnerable members of our society.

The CQC will inspect each of our teams according to five core principles: safety, effectiveness, level of caring, responsiveness to people’s needs and leadership. Once these elements are checked, an overall rating is awarded to give customers assurance that they can expect a wonderful quality of service.

As part of the SureCare network, our newest franchisees are already one step ahead in ensuring great quality. With the strong track record and reputation of SureCare behind them, these branches follow in the footsteps of our existing teams nationwide to maintain consistency and professionalism in all key areas.

The new branches

The four new SureCare branches have come about thanks to the hard work and dedication of our new franchisees. They will oversee every aspect of their local operations, making sure that all SureCare teams across the country uphold the same values for a dependable service wherever they are.

Newly established branches in London include those serving the Boroughs of Bromley and Richmond. Former teacher Jennifer D’Arcy-Smith leads the way for her team over at SureCare Bromley, with SureCare Richmond & Kingston looked after by Ahmed Meriden and his proficient experience in managing large teams.

Just outside of the M25, SureCare Wycombe & Chiltern is operated by financial professional Mandeep Atwal. Meanwhile, sisters-in-law Helen Roberts and Karen Carroll their experiences within management and NHS rehabilitation to take the helm for SureCare Hertfordshire.

Each of these franchisees has also recruited their own CQC Registered Manager, all with plenty of previous experience in the care sector. They will ensure the day-to-day activities of each branch run smoothly and all care services are delivered in a safe and effective manner.


Having that CQC registration means providers are certified to offer regulated care services for a variety of personal and domestic purposes. Around the home, our branches can offer help from cleaning and laundry services to food preparation. It also allows us to help do the shopping or run other errands for those who may find it difficult to leave the house.

Personal care, however, can start with assistance for daily medication and companionship, going all the way up to palliative care for those living with cancer or dementia. CQC regulation also allows providers to deal with physical, mental and sensory impairments in an appropriate and effective way.

Not all of our branches may immediately carry all of the services mentioned above. However, our teams are constantly evolving to meet the needs of our customers. Having CQC accreditation allows our branches the flexibility to offer new services where necessary, all while giving customers peace of mind that these services are fully regulated.
