ERA Annual Conference - Celebrating Success and Looking to the Future

08 August 2014

The ERA annual conference on 24th June kicked off a series of four national events over the next year to celebrate success within our network and continue to build a winning team for the future.

Dan Ireland, UK Academy Manager, explains: “The exciting programme of training and keynote speakers is designed to be inspiring for our franchise partners as well as giving them an opportunity to benefit from strong relationships with their peers.”

Matt O'Neil, Head of Recruitment, hosted the conference and comments. “It was great to see our exceptional franchise partners, both new and old, discovering and learning how to be even more successful.  As well as updates from across the network, we ran two workshops focusing on sales and projects.”

The keynote speaker was Richard Jackson of Mancroft International.  He gave an inspiring talk on ‘The Winning Edge’, he explained: “It isn’t what you know that drives success, it’s the way you think about what you know and very few people know how to think!”

Andy Kinnear who has recently celebrated his first year as an ERA franchise partner said “Seeing what others in the network are achieving and the level of earnings they are generating is a great motivator for me. The workshops were fantastic at re-enforcing some core skill sets and re-focusing me on not just ‘knowing’ what I should be doing but to motivate myself to ‘do it’ continuously!”

The evening was dedicated to celebrating success with our 2014 Award Ceremony.

The 2014 winners were:

  • Consultant’s Consultant of the Year – Simon Dodson
  • Consultant of the Year – Diane Lane
  • Highest Earner (individual consultant) – Keith Copestake
  • Highest Earner (consulting practice) – BPFM (Buildings, Plant & Facilities Management Team) – this is run by Ian Morrison, one of the most established ERA franchise partners
  • New Consultant of the Year – Chris Wardle

The excitement continued with an auction to raise money for ‘Race to the Sun’, a charity event which ERA partners and staff have taken part in for the past two years.  The auction saw bidders jostling to get a place on the advanced sales training course, a tall ship experience and a venture photography experience.

Combined with a sweepstake on the England game that night, we were delighted to raise £5K in addition to a further £5.5k raised by the team entering Race the Sun bring the total to £10.5k against a target of £6k with a further £1,100 in gift aid.
