ERA Academy launches MORE initiatives to support new partners

15 October 2013

ERA prides itself on the support and guidance it offers new franchise partners when they first join the network. And this offering is set to become even stronger with the launch of a series of new ERA Academy initiatives: each one designed to help new franchise partners become self-sufficient as quickly as possible.

The ERA Academy is a unique and dedicated resource that provides support to our franchise partners. It was set up to run meetings and additional training for new franchise partners, helping with everything from business planning and financial forecasting to marketing and client liaisons.

The latest support initiatives to be launched include the introduction of a top performing Business Development Manager (BDM) at the Open Surgery sessions held at ERA head office. By gaining access to experienced and successful BDMs, new franchise partners can ask questions and receive expert advice on how to succeed. Typically, this kind of coaching from a top sales consultant would cost £1-£2K per day, but our franchise partners will be getting for FREE as part of their support from ERA.

On top of this, in the next couple of months all new franchise partners will be trained in two new cost reduction categories: utilities and packaging. This will enable them to offer a new service to their clients without relying on third parties and will help to boost revenue and broaden their skill set.

Another development that will aid new partners is the outsourcing of appointment setting to a telemarketing and data analyst organisation via a centrally managed campaign. This is currently being trialled and has the potential to help secure partners’ new business appointments with minimum effort, allowing them to spend more time with their existing clients and build a successful business quicker and more efficiently.

Dan Ireland, Academy Manager, comments: “We recognise that the first 12-18 months of setting up a new franchise is the most challenging period. Although people are buying into a proven business model with a proven track record, they are still essentially starting their own business. So, we do all we can to support people in every area – from administration to marketing.”

ERA’s commitment to its franchise partners is again evident in the quarterly meetings it holds with all new franchisees (from 1-18 months) where they can share experiences and build relationships. It’s this inclusive approach that has led to such a close team across the network, providing all the support new franchise partners need to hit the ground running.
