The Business:
The business has grown organically over the years and has become renowned locally for providing a very high standard of care. The business currently provides care and support to clients with a variety of needs these include provision of live-in care, sleep in care, waking nights, 24-hour care, hourly care, respite care, Dementia care, domestic support, complex care, palliative care, and hourly care. The business is dual registered to also look after children with disabilities.

Whilst focussing predominantly on Private Clients, the business has very good relationships with many social workers on the Island, which trust and regularly call the business with private, and flexi funded care packages, where Clients who leave hospital and require care at home are financially assessed in hospital by a social worker and if they do not have enough money to pay for care at home, they are allocated funding by the government.

Customers:
At the time of writing the business provides on average c. 1700 hours per week of care to 90 service users, over 95% of whom are private clients. The remaining are Flexi funded by IOM government.

Staff:
One of the Directors is the Registered Manager, the other Director is the Operations Manager, who manages the rotas/scheduling. There is also a Care & Training Manager within the office that works alongside another Manager, who also completes/manages all in house training. The office team are supported by a team of 59 carers who are employed on Zero hours contracts to service the community. Certain team members are already being set up to ‘step up’ as a care manager if required to do so and part of growth plans, the business is employing an admin assistant for 3 days per week to assist within the office with the view of placing less reliance on the Directors. The bookkeeper works within the office for 2 days per week, has a broad knowledge of the business and assist with day-to-day operations.
