Located in the countryside on the outskirts of Ashford, Kent, the Bonny Cravat, Woodchurch, is a large village pub and restaurant, boasting excellent indoor and outdoor space.
Located just a few miles from the extensive new Chilmington Lakes housing development, Woodchurch is a friendly, welcoming village sat just six miles from central Ashford and four miles from the cinque ports town of Tenterden. It houses several small shops, a post office, the Village Life Museum and Windmill and is home to the ever-popular Rare Breeds Centre. It also plays host to the annual Weald of Kent Steam and Country Show, a Victorian fair which attracts visitors from near and far, every summer.
The Bonny Cravat currently trades as a wet led, family friendly and community pub, but also welcomes destination dining and passing tourist custom. Trading seven days a week from 12 noon onwards, it has something on offer for everyone including regular live music, quiz nights, seasonal events, pie & pint and pizza & pool nights, darts, cocktail evenings, loyalty cards for local residents and free children’s meals on a Sunday. Freshly home-made food is served all day every day including classic pub dishes and a popular Sunday lunch.
Internally, the Bonny Cravat hosts a large L-shaped trade area to include the main bar area with feature servery and table seating, the lounge with an open fire place and leather sofas, a games room with a pool table, darts board and TV screens and a separate restaurant dining room, which doubles up as private event space for approx.40 covers. The large trade kitchen is well equipped with a separate wash up area, large fridge freezer storage space and utility cupboard and the cellar has its own unique quirk, with an old tunnel leading to the local church, dating back to the time of the Reformation.
Externally there is an abundance of space at the Bonny Cravat, a large trade garden wraps around the pub and includes an extensive grassed garden with patio and BBQ area, a further side patio with built in bench seating and a private customer car park for approx.15 cars.
