I have just come across the postings for Praxis Commercial. What a shock. I approached Praxis Commercial last year for a commercial loan to buy a wine bar. It took a long time to get funding. In fairness to to Praxis they stuck with it and eventualy I got the funds to buy my business. I moved in and havent looked back since. Gotta say there was some long dark days before the deal was done. I had been bankrupt and the deal was difficult but the guys at praxis came up trumps.

To anyone who knows how to contact the people behind this company please get in touch with me. I have read some posting where someone said "I have one of their home addresses" I would like to know the home address rather than a business centre/accommodation address.

Most people who apply for commercial finance generally want it then they do not expect to be waiting into the next year. That means the distinct possibility that the business that you are after would be lost in the time waiting for finance. It is a mistake to keep waiting for Praxis to come through. How long do you wait before you realise it is too late and then have to start all over again with a different finance company. And when you have handed over money you tend to keep listening to the stories and hanging in there and then before you know it the damage is done.

Dear Martin, you withdrew from the transaction. For no good reason I might add. There was a viable alternative and funding agreed once again in-principle. You have also been offered a full refund. We maintained constant contact with you and the vendor. You decided that we were a bunch of shoysters and went off to complain to Trading Standards. You should heave stuck with it and took the alternate offer. You would now be the proud owner of a business.

get your facts right jamie we withdrew because you messed us about we never had a chance with funding as we had a 2nd charge on our property which your esteemed partner john robertson was to check we found out in feb that we had no chance if you are so good at what you do you would have told us last august that we did not stand a chance with this against us.

stop lying and tell the truth for once or would that be too much too ask

Dear Martin & Isobel, your statement is incorrect. The second funder was fully aware that there was a second charge and could accomodate it in the proposed financing package. The primary lender as you are also aware revised their lending criteria and this is we believe the deciding factor on their unwillingness or inability to proceed to completion. It is a fact of life at present and certainly since the latter part of 2007 that lenders across the board were revising who and on what basis they were prepared to lend. I am quite happy to discuss this matter further with you either by telephone, by email or if you prefer, here on the forum.
