You can run a state-of-the-art pub from day one, whether you’re experienced or new to the industry. You get a newly decorated pub (interior and exterior), ready to trade with food and drink menus set up for you. We give you operating standards that we’ve developed for your business and we support you with training, marketing, advice and guidance in addition to leading entertainment technology and a stable of World Class beer brands to serve to your customers.

Franchise Summary
  • A Greene King Meet & Eat Franchise is for 10 years on a rolling basis.
  • Food and drink is supplied by Greene King distribution channels, taking advantage of our scale and buying power and providing attractive cost prices.
  • Gaming machines are supplied by Greene King on a 50/50 profit split.
  • We pay 50% of the ongoing cost for Sky, electronic music and entertainment systems.

Training You To Be The Best

During your initial start up period you will receive all the training you need to operate your business:

  • The BII Award for Personal Licence Holders (also known as the National Certificate for Personal Licence Holders) - if you don't have this qualification, you'll need it before you can run a pub. This is a one day course at the end of which you sit a multiple choice exam.
     
  • Go For Growth - our award winning training workshop that focuses on how to maximise sales in your business.
     
  • Cellar Management - to ensure that customers are guaranteed a quality pint of our award-winning beer.
  • Finance - to enable you to forecast sales, manage costs and understand the profitability of your pub.
     
  • Food Hygiene - a one day course leading to the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health Level 2 Award in Catering examination.
     
  • Retail Excellence - helping you to understand the customer journey and howto provide the highest level of customer service.
     
  • EPOS System- how to use an Electronic Point of Sale systemand understand how to use reports to manage your business.
     
  • Training Pub - spending time in a Greene King Meet & Eat location providing you with a complete overview of the concept from Kitchen to Front of House
     
  • Staff - in-pub training for your staff prior to opening, ensuring every aspect of the Greene King Meet & Eat operation is covered.

Financial Information

You get a fully operational Meet & Eat pub trading with food and drink menus specifically developed for the Meet & Eat brand. We give you operating standards that we've developed for your business and we support you with training, marketing, advice and guidance, in addition to leading entertainment technology and a stable of World Class beer brands to serve to your customers. In addition to rent, you will pay Franchise and Marketing fees based on a percentage of turnover.

In return the franchisee can expect to generate an estimated annual profit of £40,000- 45,000*.
