I understand you are looking to purchase a business in Scotland (leasehold) and you want someone to do the legwork and package the deal. You do not mention whether you require funding. Before I can offer further advice I would need to know:

1) What is the business?
2) How long is the lease and how many years are remaining?
3) What rent will you be paying?
4) What is the current turnover and can it be confirmed via trading accounts?
5) How do you derive an income at present?

More info will be required but the above will provide a good basis for assessing the viability of the proposal. Please reply to the forum. I am sure you will receive additional help and advice from other contributers to this forum.

The business is a cafe in a shopping centre, Lease is 10yrs with 7 remaining, Rent £14000, Rates £4500,
Turnover to 2008 £189000 confirmed accounts for last 3 yrs.
I am in fulltime emplyment at moment income £30k, I plan to work for employer for a while, my partner would be running the business. We would be putting about £50k cash business is £90k we think we can raise the rest.
Hope this is helps.

Hello Eric, on the face of it, looks a sound proposition. Lenders are a little cautious at the moment. I won't ask who you bank with but generally speaking it would be best to talk to them first with regaards to funding the difference. Once you have sounded them out it would be worthwhile broadening your search to see what the market has to offer via other sources. However, back to your original question can someone do the legwork for you. Tell me what you require, due dilligence, verifying accounts, liasing with your bank or other chosen lender?
