The company specialises in ceilings, partitions and dry lining, installing virtually any form of ceiling, partition or wall lining including fire barriers. The company works for main contractors on projects which typically involve new build or refurbishment for commercial or industrial buildings ? and specifically internal shop and office fit-out. Contract values range from £10k - £1.25m though many are in the £30-100k area. The company does no advertising at present as all the work it needs comes through the door on a regular basis. The MD and Contract Managers choose which projects they want to price and which contractors to work with, and work on approx 50% of the contracts offered.
There is a staff team of 8 people including the two directors / vendors. There are two experienced Contract Managers and a small team of Site Installers, plus admin and accounts staff.
The company trades from a business unit on a small estate with good road links. This is a small, specialised unit (1,050 sq ft) with its own storage buiding adjacent and parking. The vendors own the Freehold of the premises personally and would prefer to sell it with the company. However they will consider setting up a lease for an appropriate purchaser.
