Business Activities:
Established in 1999 this is a successful privately owned company providing domiciliary care in a large town based in the North West. It is highly respected by its peers, the local authority and service users. The two contracts secured are to deliver support and care to service users either without physical disability or for services users with physical disability. The range of care provided supports adults with learning disabilities, mental health problems, sensory loss including dual sensory impairment and older persons, including those who have dementia.
The company is a Preferred Provider with the local authority and approximately 750 hours of care are delivered weekly. There is scope to further increase the hours delivered by accepting the additonal referrals offered by the local authority across a wide geographical spread.
The amount of hours delivered on a weekly basis fluctuates, and comprise of between 15 minute and 60 minute visits. Enhanced rates are paid for the delivery of Physical Disabilities care.
There are four shareholders who own the company. Only one of the shareholders is involved directly and this is to oversee the running of the company (although they do not feel that they are instrumental to the continuing success of the company due to the team in situ). They are supported by a dedicated administration staff that produce the scheduling and rotas, invoicing, staff training and care plans. In total there are 24 carers employed, who are overseen by care supervisors. Many carers have achieved NVQ Level 2 in care, others are working toward this. The majority of training is delivered in-house and any external training is funded by grants available locally.
The company operates from private premises and would need to be relocated after sale. Locally, there are numerous offices available at reasonable rates.
The shareholders now wish to devote more time to other non related business interests. In an effort to ensure a smooth transition they have confirmed their willingness to assist a purchaser post completion, subject to agreed terms and conditions
