Tinies Childcare is a unique chain of childcare recruitment specialists, operating from 30 branches across the UK working to a proven and profitable business model. It has seen increasing turnover and profits over the past few years, with diverse revenue streams.

There are 3 main aspects to the business;

Nursery
Tinies is the leading supplier of nursery nurses to large chains of nurseries, but also to local authority nurseries and independent nurseries. The nursery market faces acute staff shortages. With its history as a childcare specialist and access to the best pool of qualified staff, Tinies is currently able to provide a superior service than any of the other suppliers in the market.

Nanny
Tinies is by far the largest nanny agency in the UK, supplying childcarers to families on a permanent and temporary basis. Since 2005 the market enjoyed its first taste of regulation with the introduction of the Approval Scheme enabling parents to use tax vouchers for home based childcare. As the only company that operates to established procedures and with a range of corporate clients Tinies has seen uplift in the nanny business. We are also the leading suppliers of emergency nannies to working parents through the company My Family Care. This branch also operates the very successful International Nanny market.

Mobile Crèche
Tinies is becoming the leading supplier of mobile crèches across the UK. Typically our branches are providing mobile crèches to weddings, corporate events, exhibitions and local authorities (to support any working parent training courses). This part of our business is expanding rapidly.

Tinies was established in 1975 and has been controlled by its current management team since 2000. Tinies started with 6 branches and now has 28 branches throughout the country. Over the last 35 years that the company has been trading, profits have risen year on year. In 2003 the network turnover was £1m and now it is over £4m.

Buying a Tinies franchise means you have the guaranteed brand name (currently the leading childcare agency in the country); you have continued support and training from Tinies Head Office, with a team of people dedicated to making your business work for you; you have access to the largest database of child carers in the country; and a website that attracts more business than any other childcare agency website in the UK.

I have owned and operated the Tinies Central London branch since October 2008.

The branch is currently located in an office based within the Central London region, assisting clients in and around London. It also houses the International Nanny market.
Premises details:
The business is currently run out of a business centre, but can be easily transferrable to another office or home setting.

Expansion potential:
Business development potential exists within expansion of the Mobile Creche and Event Nannies services within the business and the International Nanny market.
Competition / Market:
In the competitive market, Tinies is the agency of choice; the majority of clients are from recommendation or referral. Competition comes from smaller Nanny agencies and some education based agencies which are of limited significance.
Reasons for selling:
The owner is selling due to a growing family and owning two further franchises within the network.

8.45am-5:30pm – Monday to Friday
Emergency cover from 7:30am till 6:00pm Monday to Friday

3 permanent members of staff office based as well as 2 directors.

Tinies UK Limited, the franchisor has been established since 1975 and the branch has been under our management since Ocotber 2008.

Standard franchise fees of 10.5% on net turnover in return for outstanding support, training, marketing, website, branding, conferences and operations manual. Renewable every 5 years without additional fees to be paid. A list of other annual charges can be provided from Head Office on request.


Support & training:
Full training will be provided on handover from the existing owner. Extensive support and guidance will also be provided from the Franchisor for the duration of the franchise agreement to ensure the success of the business. The key services include: operational support on a daily basis, bespoke database and contact management system, Tinies website, operations manual, monthly communication letter, two conferences per year as well as franchise meetings, nationalised exclusive contracts guaranteeing income and centralised sales and marketing.
